Tourism minister lights Christmas tree at Mount Nebo
Jordan Daily – Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Lina Annab, led the lighting of the Christmas tree at Mount Nebo on Monday, joined by local officials, church leaders, and community members.
Speaking at the event, Annab highlighted in a statement, the significance of Mount Nebo, where the Prophet Moses viewed the Holy Land, calling it a symbol of hope and faith. She emphasized Jordan’s role as a key site in Christian history and a model of religious coexistence.
Annab also announced Jordan’s participation in the Vatican’s Holy Jubilee Year in 2025, with a planned exhibition showcasing rare Christian artifacts.
The event is part of the ministry’s broader efforts to boost community engagement and promote Jordan as a safe and welcoming destination for religious tourism, the statement noted.
