Jordan Daily – The U.S. ambassador to Jordan, James Holtsnider, said he would be cheering for Jordan when not playing against the U.S., as the U.S. Embassy in Amman welcomed Jordanian national team players ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
“I’m excited to host the World Cup with our partners Canada and Mexico, of course. When the U.S. is not playing, I’m rooting for Jordan,” Holtsnider said, in a video published by the embassy on Tuesday. “I’m going to support you guys every time unless it’s against the U.S.”
In a separate message, the embassy encouraged Jordanian fans planning to attend the tournament to visit a newly launched travel webpage. The page provides information on visa application procedures, trip planning and the 11 U.S. cities that will host World Cup matches.
