Jordan Daily – About 182,700 Syrians have voluntarily returned to Syria since the fall of the former Syrian regime and up to Jan. 17, 2026, Interior Ministry spokesperson Abdul Karim Abu Dallou said.
He said returns were carried out through official channels and in coordination with relevant authorities, citing relatively improved conditions in parts of Syria.
Thousands of Syrians remain in Jordan’s refugee camps, with around 51,000 people in Zaatari and about 34,150 in Azraq as of early January.
Abu Dallou noted some 265,800 Syrian children have been born in Jordan since the crisis began.
