Jordan Daily - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Sunday affirmed that Jordan remains strong and stable despite a regional crisis with global repercussions, reiterating the Kingdom’s firm stance on neutrality and peace.

Chairing a Cabinet session, Hassan stressed that Jordan “has not been a battlefield,” underscoring that the Kingdom has neither launched attacks nor posed a threat to any party.

He attributed Jordan’s resilience to the leadership of King Abdullah II, as well as the dedication of the Jordan Armed Forces and security agencies, praising their role in safeguarding the Kingdom and intercepting threats.

The prime minister highlighted ongoing diplomatic efforts led by His Majesty to achieve de-escalation and enhance regional stability, while stressing the importance of Arab cooperation in addressing shared challenges.

On the economic front, Hassan said the government has implemented proactive measures to ensure the continuity of supplies, maintain price stability, and protect consumers. He noted that strategic reserves of goods and energy remain secure, while key facilities, including Aqaba port, continue to operate efficiently.

Hassan also underscored efforts to support the private sector and sustain economic momentum, alongside measures to address unjustified price increases and prevent market manipulation.

He pointed to continued progress on major national projects, including the National Water Carrier and railway links, as well as support for the tourism sector amid regional instability.

“The war will eventually end,” Hassan said, stressing that Jordan remains focused on strengthening its economic, security, and strategic resilience while safeguarding national interests.
