Jordan Daily - Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) said on Monday that the phosphate export port laboratory in Aqaba has been accredited by the national standards body in line with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
The company said in a statement that the accreditation was granted by the accreditation and standardization unit of the institution, which is recognized locally and internationally, after the laboratory met all required technical and administrative criteria, confirming its competence and adherence to high standards of quality and accuracy in testing and analysis.
It added that the step enhances the reliability of export operations at the Aqaba phosphate port and strengthens the company’s position in the mining and phosphate industries at both local and international levels.
The company said the accreditation reflects its ongoing commitment to implementing best practices and international standards, contributing to improved institutional performance and higher-quality laboratory services.
It also noted that the Aqaba export port complies with local and international standards and holds certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 18001 and ISO 45001, underscoring its commitment to quality, environmental and safety standards.
