Jordan Daily – Jordan’s electronic payment platform “CliQ” recorded JOD 1.6 billion in transactions during June, down 2.2% from JOD 1.64 billion in May, according to data from Jordan Payments & Clearing Company (JoPACC). Around 13.9 million transactions were made, marking a 4.7% monthly decline.
Year-to-date, 70.66 million transactions have been processed via CliQ, totaling JOD 8.8 billion.
User numbers rose 1.7% in June to 1.88 million, 96.2% of whom are Jordanians. Males make up 62% of users, while females account for 35.1%. The 18–30 age group remains the most active.
Money transfers comprised 84.9% of June’s transaction value, with purchases making up 15.1%. The average transaction rose to JOD 122, up from JOD 119 in May.
