Jordan Daily – Head of the Greater Amman Municipality Committee Dr. Yousef Shawarbeh met Sunday with Dutch Ambassador to Jordan Stella Kloth to discuss strengthening cooperation between Amman and Amsterdam.
Shawarbeh, who currently leads the committee managing municipal affairs after the government dissolved municipalities ahead of elections, outlined Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) ongoing development projects to enhance public services.
Kloth praised GAM’s progress in municipal and cultural sectors and reaffirmed the Netherlands’ commitment to expanding cooperation and sharing expertise, the Municipality said in a statement.
Current collaboration between GAM and the Dutch government includes urban development, climate adaptation, smart water management, green infrastructure, and cultural exchange, including a planned flower exchange market in Amman.
