Jordan Daily – The Delegation of the European Union to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has mobilised the College of Europe to organise a capacity-building programme entitled “Strengthening the Capacity of Jordanian Public Administrations for Enhanced EU–Jordan Relations.”
The programme aims to further reinforce EU–Jordan relations and will be launched with a two-day high-level opening in Amman on 13–14 October 2025. This initiative forms part of the European Union’s broader efforts to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between the EU and Jordanian public institutions, the Mission said in a statement.
The programme brings together Jordanian officials and EU representatives to foster exchange and mutual understanding. The sessions will provide in-depth insights into EU decision-making processes, the functioning of EU institutions, and inter-institutional cooperation in external affairs, and the importance.
The event was opened by the Deputy Ambassador of the EU to Jordan, Angela Martini, who said: “This is a great opportunity for Jordanian officials to deepen their understanding of what the EU stands for and how it functions. I hope that participants will make the most of this opportunity, further contributing to the further enhancement of EU–Jordan relations.”
The two-day event will conclude with a high-level closing ceremony featuring H.E. Serge Dickschen, Ambassador of Belgium to Jordan and Iraq; H.E. Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, Ambassador of the EU to Jordan; and H.E. Mr. Marwan al Refai, Secretary General of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation. Their participation underscores the shared commitment to strengthening institutional capacities and fostering long-term collaboration.
This training marks the beginning of a broader capacity-building journey that will continue with an executive programme at the College of Europe in Bruges later this year. Implemented by the College of Europe and funded by the European Union, the project seeks to deepen understanding of EU structures, decision-making, and external action among Jordanian institutions, thereby supporting stronger policy dialogue and partnership.
