Jordan Daily – GIA Apparels has concluded a safety awareness initiative in Aqaba schools, aiming to equip students with knowledge on health, safety, and emergency preparedness. The programme is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts alongside Classic Fashion and BIA.
The initiative featured interactive sessions conducted by public-safety teams in coordination with local education directorates. Plans are underway to expand the programme to schools in Irbid and Mafraq to reach a broader student audience.
Prabath Mudalige, Manager of Compliance at GIA Apparels, said the programme reflects the company’s commitment to fostering a strong safety culture beyond its factory walls.

“We had the privilege of visiting a local school to conduct interactive awareness sessions. The students demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and curiosity as they learned about everyday safety, emergency preparedness, and the importance of protecting themselves and others,” Mudalige said.
“Our goal is to empower the next generation with knowledge that inspires responsible behaviour at home, in school, and in their communities. Creating safer environments starts with education, and we are proud to contribute to that mission,” he added.

Dr. Anas Al-Smadi, head of the Private Education Department at the Aqaba Education Directorate, thanked the GIA team for its efforts in delivering safety and awareness lectures in government schools.
Raya AbuDalbouh of the CSR team noted that the sessions are designed to instil a lasting culture of safety and support healthy, secure learning environments.
