Jordan Daily – Gulf Insurance Group- Jordan (GIG Jordan) has bolstered its position as a leading player in the regional insurance sector after winning the General Insurance Company of the Year Award 2025 from Middle East Insurance Review (MEIR), one of the Middle East and North Africa’s key industry publications.
The award highlights the company’s performance in digital innovation and its strong financial results. The recognition follows GIG Jordan’s receipt of the A- (Excellent) financial strength rating from global rating agency AM Best for the second consecutive year- the highest credit rating in the Jordanian insurance market. The rating reflects the company’s solid financial standing, effective risk-management framework and long-term stability.
GIG Jordan continues to expand its digital transformation initiatives through platforms such as GIG Auto Parts, a fully integrated digital medical insurance platform, and the Yalla GIG loyalty program. The company has also partnered with Zain Jordan to launch the country’s first InsurTech platform, positioning it at the forefront of technological development in the insurance industry.
Regionally, GIG Jordan’s strategic importance within the wider GIG Grouphas increased. The company contributed 6% of total premiums and 13.7% of profits in 2024, rising to17.7% in the first quarter of 2025, underscoring its ability to convert innovation into tangible value for customers and the group.
