Jordan eases entry for Libyans, resumes flights to Tripoli after decade
By : JD
Jordan Daily – Jordan announced that Libyan citizens can now enter the kingdom without prior approval, while Royal Jordanian Airlines has resumed flights to Tripoli after more than a decade of suspension.
The decisions follow recent meetings led by Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan with heads of health unions and stakeholders from the medical tourism sector. The discussions focused on simplifying procedures related to medical tourism and capitalizing on Jordan’s strong reputation in the healthcare field.
Interior Minister Mazen Faraya stated that Libyan nationals can now obtain visas through the e-visa platform or upon arrival, with the only requirement being a valid passport for at least three months.
These steps are part of the government’s efforts to boost the national economy by attracting investors, businesspeople, and medical tourists. The initiatives align with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision, which aims to position the country as a global destination for medical, cultural, and religious tourism.
