Jordan Daily – King Abdullah II has awarded the King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein Medal of Excellence (First Class) to Dr. Rami Farraj in recognition of his role in advancing Jordan’s healthcare system.
Dr. Farraj was honored for pioneering the country’s unified electronic medical record system, known as “Hakeem,” a cornerstone of Jordan’s national digital health transformation. The system enables secure, rapid access to medical records for patients and healthcare providers and supports data-driven decision-making at the national level.
He also played a key role in establishing Electronic Health Solutions, the company leading implementation of the program. By the end of the year, Hakeem is expected to be deployed across all Ministry of Health and Royal Medical Services facilities, as well as the King Hussein Cancer Center.
