Jordan Daily – The Public Security Directorate (PSD), announced the closure of the King Hussein Bridge (Allenby Crossing) to passenger and cargo traffic on Monday, September 9, until further notice.
The directorate had previously announced on Sunday the suspension of travel via the bridge following its closure by the Israeli authorities.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Interior confirmed that initial investigations into a shooting incident on the other side of the Bridge revealed the shooter to be a Jordanian citizen named Maher Al-Jazi, from the Al-Husseiniya area in Ma’an Governorate. Al-Jazi, a truck driver transporting goods from Jordan to the West Bank.
