PM Hassan meets Lebanese counterpart, condemns Israeli attacks

Jordan Daily – Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan met on Monday with Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Prime Ministry in Amman, where they discussed the ongoing Israeli aggression in Lebanon and the escalating situation in the region.

Hassan reaffirmed Jordan’s strong stance, under the directive of King Abdullah II, in support of Lebanon’s security, sovereignty, and stability. He condemned the recent Israeli attacks, emphasizing the importance of adhering to United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.

Mikati expressed his gratitude for Jordan’s unwavering support, acknowledging the solidarity shown by the Jordanian leadership, government, and people as Lebanon faces a challenging time.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi, as well as Lebanon’s Ambassador to Jordan, Youssef Riji.
