Tourism income in Jordan soars 59.4% in H1 2023
Jordan Daily – Tourism income in June 2023 experienced a significant growth of 28.8% compared to the same month in 2022, reaching a total of 446.6 million dinars ($629.9 million), according to preliminary data released by the Central Bank of Jordan.
The data also revealed that during the first half of 2023, tourism income saw a remarkable increase of 59.4%, amounting to 2,450.3 million dinars (3,456.0 million dollars).
This surge was driven by a rise in the number of tourists, which reached 3,025.8 thousand, showing a growth rate of 60.2%. This positive trend was a result of an increase in overnight tourists, which reached 2,491.7 thousand, reflecting a growth rate of 54.4%. Additionally, the number of one-day tourists amounted to 534.1 thousand, demonstrating a growth rate of 94.0%.
