King meets with Indonesia president in New York

Jordan Daily – His Majesty King Abdullah II, during a meeting with President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto on Monday, called for supporting the Palestinians in obtaining their legitimate rights and establishing their independent state, on the basis of the two-state solution.

During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the international conference on the implementation of the two-state solution in New York and attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, His Majesty underscored the importance of achieving comprehensive calm in the region and ending Israel’s violations of international law.

The King reiterated the need to halt the Israeli offensive on Gaza, end the war, and ensure that humanitarian aid reaches all areas of the Strip.

His Majesty warned of the dangers of Israel’s plans to expand settlements in the West Bank, as well as its attacks on Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

The meeting also touched on opportunities for strengthening cooperation between Jordan and Indonesia across various sectors.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh attended the meeting.
