Petra University, Wolverhampton University sign MoU to expand academic, research cooperation

Jordan Daily – University of Petra and the UK’s University of Wolverhampton have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening academic and research cooperation, Petra University said in a statement.

The agreement seeks to advance joint academic and research programmes, broaden partnership areas, and support both students and faculty in line with Petra University’s strategy to enhance its international presence.

Under the MoU, the universities will collaborate on professional development programmes, joint supervision of postgraduate studies, research and industrial projects, cross-border education initiatives, and exchanges of students and academic staff. The initiatives aim to improve learning opportunities and research output while boosting students’ skills and readiness for the job market.

The agreement was signed by University of Petra President Rami Abdel Rahem and University of Wolverhampton Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Ebrahim Adia,.Ahmed Ansi, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Computing and Engineering at Wolverhampton, attended the signing ceremony.

Both sides said the MoU marks an important step toward long-term cooperation that will facilitate knowledge exchange, support higher-education development, and create new opportunities for joint research and academic initiatives.
