Jordan Daily – Jordan’s national exports to the European Union rose 39.3% in the first nine months of the year, reaching JD 436 million, up from 313 million dinars a year earlier, according to foreign trade data from the Department of Statistics.

Mohammad Al-Smadi,Board Member of EuroCham Jordan, said in press remarks the increase reflects stronger competitiveness of Jordanian products and their growing access to EU markets, noting the EU remains a key destination for Jordan, citing rising demand for garments, chemical products and fertilizers.

Al-Smadi said recent trade agreements with the EU are beginning to yield positive results for exporters, but further support for local industry and streamlined export procedures are needed to sustain the momentum.

He added that imports from the EU, though higher, continue to support Jordan’s market by supplying industrial equipment, pharmaceuticals and technology that enhance domestic production.

Exports to Italy recorded a notable jump, he said, highlighting growing interest in Jordanian industrial and agricultural goods. He noted that stronger business partnerships and information sharing between Jordanian and European companies will be essential to maintain export growth.
