Jordan Daily -Jordanian Armed Forces killed three drug smugglers and seized large quantities of narcotics near the Syrian border, the military said on Tuesday.
The operation was carried out by the Jordanian Eastern Command which coordinates with the anti-narcotics department and the military security departments , the military source said.
The smugglers tried to cross the border illegally from Syria, but were spotted by the border guards and shot at by the quick response patrols , the source said.
The seized drugs included 233,000 Captagon pills and 528 palm-sized sheets of hashish, the source said, adding that they were transferred to the authorities.
