Jordan Daily -The government on Monday launched its second executive program for the Economic Modernisation Vision for 2026–2029, signalling a continued push to stimulate economic growth and expand private sector participation.

King Abdullah II, Crown Prince Al-Hussein attended the launch at the Prime Ministry.

Former minister and economist Khair Abu Saalik said the royal patronage underscored that the modernisation drive is a long-term state approach rather than a temporary government initiative. He noted that the program includes 392 projects with clear costs and timelines, marking a shift from planning to implementation.

Abu Saalik pointed out in press remarks seen by Jordan Daily, the key challenge would be effective execution and measuring tangible impacts on citizens’ living standards and unemployment. He also stressed the importance of including municipalities and adopting clear frameworks to assess the impact of government measures, alongside the rollout of major projects expected to support growth.
