Jordan Daily – Huawei convened the Huawei Jordan Media Forum in Amman on Thursday, bringing together senior leaders from Jordan’s media organizations to discuss the role of advanced technologies in shaping the future of the media sector.
The forum aligns with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision (2023-2025) and the National Digital Transformation Strategy (2021-2025), which focus on enhancing digital infrastructure, skills development, and regulatory improvements.
Ammar Tobba, Vice President of Public Affairs & Communications at Huawei Middle East & Central Asia, emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration to strengthen Jordan’s ICT ecosystem. He noted the critical need for the media sector to embrace intelligent transformation and for local talent to be nurtured to support Jordan’s digital economy.
Huawei Jordan CEO Adam Zhang highlighted the rapid growth of Jordan’s digital economy, driven by government policies, high internet penetration, and a tech-savvy population. Zhang reiterated Huawei’s commitment to supporting Jordan’s digital intelligence through ICT solutions, including media-focused innovations that enhance content creation and management.
The forum featured keynotes, presentations, and workshops addressing the digital transformation journey of media organizations. Huawei showcased technologies such as cloud solutions, AI-powered security systems, and smart campus tools, emphasizing sustainability through energy-efficient infrastructure.
Huawei also detailed its long-standing commitment to Jordan’s ICT sector, including initiatives like the Huawei ICT Academy and the Seeds for the Future program, which aim to develop local talent and foster participation in the global tech community.
Jordanian students have consistently excelled in Huawei’s global competitions, further showcasing the country’s potential in the digital era.
