Jordan Daily – More than 100 people were killed, and dozens more injured, early Saturday morning in a deadly airstrike by Israeli forces on a school in Gaza City that was sheltering displaced residents.
Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes targeted the Al-Tabi’in School in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of eastern Gaza with three direct missiles during dawn prayers. The school had been housing many families who had fled their homes due to ongoing aggression.
The attack resulted in the deaths and injuries of most of the displaced people taking refuge in the school. Rescue teams and civil defense units have been unable to retrieve all the bodies, and there are fears that the death toll could rise further.
Rescue workers stated that most of the injured, who were transported to the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, are in critical condition. The hospital is also dealing with a large number of unidentifiable remains and severely mutilated bodies.
