Jordan Daily – Petra recorded a sharp rise in tourist arrivals in November 2025, according to the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority.
Commissioner Yazan Mahadin said the archaeological site welcomed 75,319 visitors, up 83% from a year earlier. Foreign tourists totaled 53,666, marking 135% growth from November 2024.
Mahadin noted that these figures reflect the continued recovery of the tourism sector in the Rose City, supported by the region’s relative stability and the growing global interest in exceptional heritage sites, foremost among them Petra, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
