Jordan Daily – Ghassan Suwaidan, the head of the Jordan Seismological Observatory , has refuted news of an earthquake occurring in Jordan at dawn on Saturday.
This clarification follows reports from concerned citizens who took to social media platforms to share their experiences of feeling what they believed to be one or two earthquakes in Amman and Madaba.
In press remarks , Suwaidan clarified that the observatory did not record any earthquake within that time, stating , “we received information from several places that there was an earthquake in the eastern regions of Amman, and according to observatory recordings, there is no seismic event or anything cause for concern.”
